T
hree days a week in our morning huddle, I share a compliment
about a staff member. It could be something I've read in a
patient's satisfaction survey, heard in a conversation with a
surgeon or picked up from another of our employees. After presenting
the positive feedback, the employee who's been recognized gets a $1
lottery scratch-off card. It's a small reward, but our employees enjoy
the recognition. And sometimes the card's a winner!
