Containers for Fast, Thorough Sterilization
One Tray Sealed Sterilization Containers combine the speed of flashing
with the thoroughness of autoclaving, letting facilities be prepared for
unexpected demand in the OR. The trays can be used to sterilize a 25-
pound load of surgical instruments in 4 minutes, using either pre-vacuum
or gravity displacement. They work, says the company, by circulating
steam in a pattern that ensures the complete and rapid dispersal of the
sterilizing agent. The design also includes a sloped floor with a retained
moisture collection area, so no drying time is needed.
