Missed a Spot? UV Disinfection
System Kills Lingering Pathogens
It's not uncommon for pathogens to linger on environmental surfaces after
you've manually cleaned them. Your techs either missed parts of the surface
or didn't give the liquid chemical disinfectants sufficient contact time. Now
there's a UV disinfection system designed to address those infection control
gaps. The Pathogon UV disinfection system from Steris uses a narrow band
of ultraviolet light to reduce or kill lingering pathogens as a final step in the
decontamination process. Steris says the Pathogon is not a replacement for
manual surface disinfection, but rather a final step to kill germs on surfaces
that may be missed during the manual process.
