CUSTOM JOB Vendors should design drop-down
menus, pages and lists to meet your specific needs.
• Care alerts. Whenever staff members click on any section of a
chart, a pop-up box appears that contains information about the
patient's allergies. Staff must review the information and click "OK"
on the alert before accessing the rest of the chart.
• Must-see areas. Some boxes in the chart have been identified
as "mandatory," so staff can't add their electronic signatures until
those essential sections have been completed.
• Medication lists. The system boasts an extensive drug list,
which the vendor updates regularly. Staff members simply scroll to
find the drugs they need, and enter them into the patients' records.
