Evacuate Electrocautery Smoke Where it Starts
OSHA recommends that surgical smoke be removed as close as possible to
its point of origin. DeRoyal's ExtendEVAC does just that. It's a standard-sized
electrocautery pencil that incorporates a suction tip for smoke evacuation at
the push of a button. The ExtendEVAC can be connected directly to wall suction, a suction canister or an external evacuator. A clear, telescoping suction
tip won't impede a surgeon's view of the site and an extendable electrode
eliminates the need to purchase additional blades.
