N E T • 4 3 Salary History Through the Years Here are the average salaries, pre-tax and excluding bonuses, of surgical facility leaders through the years, based on a sampling of 6 of Outpatient Surgery Magazine's annual reader salary surveys. How much of a pay raise did you get last year — if you even got one? As you can see in "Salary Increases — & Some Decreases" on the facing page, 26% of ASC respondents and 19% of HOPD respondents didn't get a raise last year. Maybe they should con- sider themselves lucky. After all, almost 4% across the board reported that they took a pay cut in 2019 compared to 2018. less across the board — salaries, bonuses and total compensation — in 2019 than they did in 2018. Meanwhile, HOPD administrators, who in 2018 earned slightly less than their ASC peers, gained more than $10,000 on top of what they earned in 2018. OSM
