Ask the patient to open his mouth wide just as you're ready to bolus him with propofol IV. As the jaw slackens, just drop the LMA into the still-open mouth without touching the teeth or the sides of the oral cavity. You have to time it perfectly, but once you get the hang of it, it's a very classy move.
