ere's an easy
way to keep
track of
patients' belongings
while they're in your
facility. Before the patient
arrives, write the patient's
name on a plastic bag
with a marker and on a
piece of white tape; stick
the tape on the bag. Once
the patient changes into
her gown, place her
clothing and belongings
in the plastic bag.
Remove the tape from
the bag and place it on
the outside of a locker,
and then place the bag in
the locker. This way, the
PACU nurse can easily
locate the patient's
belongings.
