W
ith our
automated
medication
dispensing system,
you type in the name
of the drug and it
opens the door or
drawer where it's
stored. For some
cases, though, such
as cataract or retina
surgery, you need to
pull 10 or 12 different
medications. Instead
of making our nurses
type in each one, one
at a time, we've sim-
plified the process.
We've programmed menu and preference settings into the system.
Now we just have to pick a physician's name from a list, then pick
from a list of procedures that he does, and the system will select
all the drugs used in that procedure, without us having to type
them in separately. It's a big time-saver.
