KEYS TO SUCCESS
5 Things You Should Know Before Adding Spine
1. Hire staff who
enjoy spine.
Make sure
you understand the
"what" and
the "why" of
the specialty
so you can
hire staff who are truly expert in the procedures you plan to host.
2. Insist all the surgeons trial all the equipment you're considering before
making any purchasing decisions.
3. Personally meet physicians' schedulers, so they have a contact for
patients and themselves at your center. Let them know they can call
anytime about any question they might have.
4. First impressions count. Make sure you have all the equipment and
instrumentation you need — and back-ups so there are no hiccups. This
will build the trust with your surgeons.
5. Be meticulous. Proceed slowly. Double- and triple-check everything. I
maintain this was the top key to our success.
