FYI: The NOVALITE is an attractive option for centers with large pedi-
atric patient volumes. Its stainless steel blades, which feature LED
lighting and satin finishes said to reduce glare, are available in a
complete range of Miller and MAC sizes. The company, however,
places a particular focus on neonatal sizes — Miller 00, 0 and 1 —
which it says were perfected with the assistance of neonatal special-
ists at children's hospitals. NovaMed says it's the only brand to offer
Miller 1.5 and American style MAC 2 single-use blades. Handles are
available in three sizes: medium/adult, penlight/pediatric and a size
the company claims is unique: stubby. Batteries are preloaded in the
single-use handles, which are packaged separate from the blades.
