FYI: The Vertebral Compression Fracture (VCF) Prep Kit and the
Kyphon Express II First Fracture Kit come pre-assembled with
everything necessary for a VCF procedure. The kits come in 3 differ-
ent sizes — small, medium and large — to accommodate all cases
involving balloon kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty. The balloons come in
a variety of diameters and volumes — 10 mm/3cc, 15 mm/4cc and 20
mm/5cc. The balloons are also monomer-resistant for up to 5 min-
utes, which lets them remain inflated while applying the PMMA-
based bone cement.
