• Monday. Recognize a fellow employee's commitment to the
patient-centered care culture change. Write their name and
actions on an index card and post it on a board in the staff lounge.
• Tuesday. Offer to walk a patient or visitor to their destination
instead of pointing to where they should go.
• Wednesday. Say "good morning" or "good afternoon" to 10
people in the first 60 minutes of your shift.
• Thursday. Keep your cell phone in your pocket while walking
through hallways. Say hello to coworkers and patients you pass.
• Friday. Ask a family member or patients what you can do to
make their experience better — then make it happen.
