To be certain our staff always has access to the proper posi- tioning devices in our Or suites, we created position- ing carts that con- tain the same commonly used devices, including gel pads of vari- ous sizes and shapes, plastic arm sleds and foam arm holders. We found that rolling metal carts with 2-3 shelves had plenty of space to store the devices (you can fold the gel pads). We keep the carts in the sub-sterile room between Ors.
