FYI: SteraMist BIT (binary ionization technology) uses a patented 2-
step process to activate and ionize a 7.8% hydrogen peroxide solu-
tion, converting it to reactive oxygen species that disinfect by damag-
ing pathogenic organisms through oxidation of proteins, carbohy-
drates, and lipids, including C. difficile spores. The company offers
both a hand-held point-and-spray system that enables disinfection of
all hard non-porous surfaces, including high-touch, sensitive equip-
