fter we manually
clean an endo-
scope's reusable
biopsy valve, air-water
button and suction but-
ton, we put the parts into
a reusable mesh bag. We
then place the bag and
the scope together into
an automatic endoscope
reprocessor. When the
reprocessing cycle ends,
we place the valve and
buttons in a dry bag, and
hang it with the scope in
a storage cabinet. That
way if a post-procedure
infection occurs, we're
better able to isolate any
potential source of con-
tamination.
