We Really Haven't Come a Long Way
More than 400,000 U.S. citizens die from preventable medical errors
each year. Yes, it's disheartening how little we've improved patient
safety in the last 50-plus years, but there's plenty surgical leaders
can do to make sure never events actually live up to their name.
