Placing a sticker above the operative eye is a good adjunct to the mark you place with a marker. REVERSE ANGLE It's easy to lose your orientation when patients are moved, turned over and repositioned for sur- gical access. Be sure you mark the operative site in such a way as to ensure that when a patient or a limb is turned or placed in a different position, the mark is still clearly visible to the surgical team.
