Light-up Electrosurgical Pencil Deliver light when and where you need it with this electrosurgical combination pencil and light. In addition to its cutting and coagulating abilities, surgeons can use the Nova LED Light Source Pencil to illu- minate the surgical field and cavity instead of wearing headlamps or using lighted retractors. Pushbuttons and a light switch make it easy to toggle between cut and coag modes and intermittent and constant light. The 3 LED lights on the pencil's distal end are battery powered, so you can also use the Nova as a handheld portable light source without connecting it to an electrosurgical generator. The pencil is compatible with most electrosurgical generators, says Pare Surgical. pare.net Product News PN 1 2 0 • O U T PA T I E N T S U R G E R Y M A G A Z I N E • M A Y 2 0 1 6
