Ideas That Work
ITW

e
used
to
struggle with get-
ting residents, sur-
geons and staff to put
on eye protection
before procedures.
They would scrub in
and get questioned on
why they weren't
wearing eyewear
before a nurse would
have to run out and
get them a pair. Now,
we made eyewear
nearly impossible to
forget by placing bins at the scrub sink along with signs reminding
staff and surgeons to take a pair. There are clean and dirty bins for
the glasses, so they are returned, cleaned and reused after a case, not
lost or tossed.
