f patients
don't pay
their co-pays,
co-insurance
and/or deductibles at
the time of service, we
ask them for their
credit card informa-
tion. We take that info
and store it in a safe,
which our billing staff
has access to. Once
the claim for their pro-
cedure is processed,
we give patients a
courtesy call telling
them that we will
charge such-and-such
amount on this credit
card to cover their portion of the bill. It's convenient for both our cen-
ter and patients, and has been a major success. Since implementation,
we've increased our patient collections by 30%.
