Fill Scripts While Patients Are in PACU
O
ur "Meds-to-Beds" program provides an additional measure
of convenience and customer service to our same-day sur-
gery patients. Here's how it works. When a surgeon writes
his post-op orders, our nurses send the prescription information to
our in-house pharmacy, which fills it while the patient is in recovery. A
pharmacy tech then delivers the meds to the patient's bedside before
she's discharged.
