THIS MITOMYCIN KIT IS FDA-APPROVED FOR EYE SURGERY
Mobius Therapeutics, LLC manufactures and markets Mitosol®, (mitomycin for solu-
tion) 0.2 mg/vial, Kit for Ophthalmic Use, the only FDA-approved ophthalmic formula-
tion of
mitomycin. Mitosol® permits room temperature storage without light shielding and
features an extended shelf life. Assured sterility, potency, and dosing along with
closed transfer and qualified disposal reinvents mitomycin for ophthalmology. The
Center for Medicare Services provides an Outpatient Prospective Payment System
Payment Indicator "K2" for the code J7315 Mitosol® (mitomycin for solution) Kit for
Ophthalmic Use,
allowing payment for entities billing under OPPS, including ASCs and hospitals.
This code cannot be used to reimburse compounded mitomycin.
