e have 8 post-op consultation rooms to support 16 busy
ORs. It can be hard to know in which consult room the
family is meeting with the surgeon. Alejandra Najera, our
surgical services hospital unit clerk, came up with the idea to lami-
nate the last name of each surgeon on a magnetized nameplate that
sticks to the metal door frame. Since we are a children's hospital, she
wanted to make it fun and associate each surgeon with a cartoon
character. Many of our surgeons wanted to choose their favorite char-
acter, particularly if they have a specific theme in their office setting.
