the capsular bag and polishing the capsule.
Don't ignore the importance of operating with the optimal visualiza-
tion afforded by optics on the latest surgical microscopes. When Dr.
Hoffman upgraded his scope, he was amazed (and sometimes dis-
tracted) by the incredi-
ble detail it provided.
"Any time you achieve
improved visualiza-
tion, you're less likely
to grab the posterior
capsule and you're
more likely to identify
zonular weakness,
which can help you
avoid capsular rup-
ture," he says.
Floppy iris
Intraoperative floppy
iris syndrome (IFIS)
hinders a surgeon's
access to the anterior
chamber. Some docs
pre-treat patients with
atropine to help pre-

For over six years the Malyugin Ring® has been helping surgeons expand pupils and increase
safety, but Robert Osher, M.D. wasn't satisfied. He wanted to make things easier for you.
Dr. Osher approached us to modify the injector to allow for easier release and re-engagement
of the Malyugin Ring. After years of effort, trial and error, we are thrilled to provide you with the
Osher Modification to the Malyugin Ring Injector.
It just makes things easier.

Malyugin Ring Injector
The Historic Injector
With our historic injector it was quite normal
to have to push the Malyugin Ring off
the injector with a second instrument.
With our historic injector, you likely had to
come in from the right side, come over the scroll
and then into the middle of it. A two step process.
The New Injector
Just lift to disengage before placing the proximal scroll.
Simply enter the proximal scroll and pull to remove.
