W
hen admit-
ting
patients,
we ask them to kindly
consider leaving the
grip socks we give
them on their pillow
at discharge. We then
donate the socks to a
local nursing home,
which launders them
and passes them out
to residents. This
eliminates landfill
waste and potentially
saves an elderly nurs-
ing home patient from
slipping and falling.
