Line Your Shelves With Blue Wrap
We reuse clean, uncontaminated blue wrap to line our storage-room shelves. This prevents tears in blue-wrapped packages on the shelves, which keeps us from having to spend time and money rewrapping them. If the OR returns an unused loaner tray that wasn't exposed to patients or rejects a tray during room setup because the packaging is torn, we'll save that blue wrap and secure it to the shelves with a little bit of tape. It works really well, it's less expensive than fancy shelf liners and it cuts down the number of items we have to rewrap.
