patients' mouths.
That's just one
example of the vast
cultural divide
between the surgical
side and the anesthesia side when it comes
to routine precautions. Another: Most
anesthesia providers
draw up the drugs and
open airway devices
that they're going to
use on the next
patient while they're
caring for the current
patient. That's akin to
having a circulator in
the room actually
opening the instruments in the room for
the next patient while
the current case is
