seem to be less thrombogenic than general

"If you've got a healthy 45-year old getting inguinal hernia repair, does he really
need DVT prophylaxis? Yes, he does," says
Dr. Boyd. "Too often, we think we don't
need to do anything for these patients. 'It's
just outpatient hernia,' we'll say. But we're
not being diligent enough in identifying
