I've invented a nasal airway device (www.kotlernasalairway.com) that lets patients NASAL TUBES The Kotler nasal airway lets patients breathe through their nose after nasal or sinus surgery despite the nose being completely packed. avoid the misery of not being able to breathe after nasal surgery because the nose is packed to prevent bleeding and promote healing. Think of putting a soft drinking straw onto the floor of the nose and you have the idea. The pair of nasal airways, for the right and left nasal passages, is made of soft silicone plastic tubes that let air pass through the channel for 1 to 5 days after surgery. Providing such a normal route for breathing after surgery erases a huge negative that has long plagued nasal and sinus procedures. The days of patients reluctantly tolerating their noses completely stuffed after otherwise successful surgery, with that pounding pressure, ear popping and claustrophobia, should now be a thing of the past. Even if the nose isn't packed, the patient benefits because there is always internal swelling, and mucus and blood accumulation. Packing or no packing, the patient is happy. And that is what topquality medical care should be about.
