But among video monitors used in the OR? Not so much. These monitors are of a higher technical grade to begin with. This doesn't mean "medical grade," which is a term that actually describes safety rather than technological issues. For example, medical-grade products will be low-voltage, splash-proof, won't have air vents and the like. Medical-grade displays are therefore thicker and heavier than consumer displays, due to the large heat sinks in them. But you shouldn't let that term make you think such video monitors
