At a quick glance, we can all see the entire day's schedule. For our cataract cases, we can refer to the patient's name and date of birth, IOL, diopter and side when performing the time out. The board also has a column for any notes that we want to communicate to the OR staff. I custom-ordered our whiteboard from an office supply store. A thin plastic cover makes it easy to write on and wipe off.
