4. The automat. Sadly, some surgical centers have been reduced to
nothing but machines for food. Vending machines housing everything from junk snacks to prefab sandwiches are the only choices
available. The nutritional values of the ready-made meals approximate cardboard. A compositional analysis of a typical freeze-dried
sandwich may frighten a rat. And taste! These space-age sandwiches have the taste appeal of Alpo. Somebody in management must
be
getting a cut of the action.

After more than 2 decades of practice and numerous culinary misadventures, I've learned to bring a few snacks to work. It's hard to mess
