When my BPH symptoms became unbearable I really
didn't want to undergo invasive surgery and I'm not a
personal fan of BPH medications. Relief can be inadequate
and temporary and they have a whole host of side effects.

The UroLift System procedure is FDA-cleared for the treatment of symptoms due to urinary outflow
obstruction secondary to BPH, including lateral and median lobe hyperplasia, in men 45 years of age
or older. Results and patient experience may vary. Clinical data from a pivotal 206-patient randomized
controlled study showed that most common adverse events reported include hematuria, dysuria,
micturition urgency, pelvic pain, and urge incontinence. Most symptoms were mild to moderate in
severity and resolved within 2 to 4 weeks after the procedure.
