Download Our Quick PONV Screening Tool
To ease patients' recoveries and speed up discharge times, we developed our own screening tool to identify patients at the
highest risk for PONV. Here's how you can use it:
• Download our form (www.outpatientsurgery.net/forms), which includes the common risk factors, and assign a value of 1 point to
each of these variables. Have a pre-admissions nurse fill out the form
with the patient.
• Add 1 point to a patient's score for each prescreening factor the patient indicates.
• Add 1 point for gynecologic, laparoscopic or plastic sur-
