Getinge Blanket and Fluid Warming Cabinets
Highly adaptable Getinge Blanket and Fluid
Warming Cabinets help prevent hypothermia
in temporary medical facilities
As COVID-19 patient volume increases exponentially in many areas of the
country, caregivers will continue to be challenged to maintain normothermia
among a growing number of affected individuals being treated in temporary
and improvised treatment centers.
Normothermia reduces the risk for cardiac events and respiratory distress
while allowing patients to better metabolize drugs. IV fluids are often used
to prevent hypothermia, combat dehydration and deliver medication while
warm blankets help prevent hypothermia and increase patient comfort.
High-capacity combination blanket/fluid warming cabinets accommodate
up to 40 blankets and 30 one-liter bottles (or 24 one-liter bags). A choice of
stackable blanket warming and fluid warming units increase capacity with-
out requiring additional floor space. Larger units feature heavy-duty casters
that make it possible to easily transport units throughout a facility without
the use of a forklift as the floor-plan and volume-related needs dictate.
ivNow modular fluid warmers are designed to warm
injection and irrigation solutions in 30 minutes or less
at point-of-use. These units do not need expensive
in-line and infusion warming systems that require
costly disposables and lengthy set-up time.
ivNow offers the capacity to provide up to 147 liters
of warmed fluid during a 24-hour period. Units can
be supplied in one-, two- or three-pod configurations
that are easily mounted on walls, booms and equip-
ment poles or placed on countertops.
