Welcome to New Orleans and thank you for attending the 11th Annual OR Excellence
Conference brought to you by Outpatient Surgery and AORN! We hope you will enjoy the
great networking, insightful education and super opportunities to gain valuable, practical
advice from leaders in the field—and make new friends and professional contacts!
Here are just a few notes before you start the conference:
• The best learning goes two ways, and that's why this meeting is so interactive. Our new
conference app will let you answer questions our presenters pose. Don't worry—it's easy to use
and it's anonymous. You will also use the app to evaluate sessions to earn CME contact hours.
• When the workday is over, the fun begins. Please join us on Thursday afternoon in the Exhibit
Hall at 5:30 p.m. to network, shop and enjoy our free wine tasting courtesy of the
OR Excellence exhibitors.
Friday evening, the fun continues with the ORX Power Hour! Join us in the Exhibit Hall for a fun
reception featuring prizes offered through random drawings based on your badge scans by
exhibitors! The more vendors you talk to and the more you get scanned, the better your chances
of winning one of over $4,000 in awesome prizes!
• OR Excellence is your meeting. It is based 100% on advice and feedback from
Outpatient Surgery readers. We're counting on you to tell us what you like and what needs
improvement so that we can make it that much better for 2020 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel
& Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Outpatient Surgery team members are wearing the special
badges marked STAFF—please let us know if we can help in any way while you are here, and
we invite you to share any thoughts you have about the meeting or the magazine!
