In many cases, the arms must be protected, too. That's where sleeve gloves come in. While sleeve gloves could be used during surgeries, they're often more appropriate for sterile processing or OR turnover staff who not only deal with a lot of fluids, but also the possibility of splashing and sharp objects. A couple examples of what's out there: ARM PROTECTION Sleeve Gloves Provide Additional Protection Healthmark Decontam Lined Sleeve Gloves hmark.com 800-521-6224 Price: $350 for a box of 50 FYI: The sleeves on these gloves combine a 15 mil nitrile-lined EVS (environmen- tal services) glove with a 4 mil protective sleeve. The gloves are 28 inches long, with an elastic cuff that works to prevent slippage of the sleeve from the upper arm. These one-day-use PPE  gloves are sold in pairs and are available in 4 differ- ent sizes: small, medium, large and extra- large.
