The eBay for Outdated Sterile Supplies
Instead of pulling your expiring or unneeded surgical supplies off the
shelves and disposing of them, now you can sell them at a discount
to another surgical facility. Surgical Exchange Network's online plat-
form lets hospitals and surgery centers list for sale sterile surgical
supplies that they cannot use. Pricing for items are between buyer
and seller, but the company suggests listing items at 50% of retail to
entice buyers to go outside their normal supply chain. Only licensed
healthcare facilities can subscribe, says the company.
