Thrusting Device is designed to
address the inevitable relaxation of
soft-tissue structures in the
hypopharynx after oral airways are
placed, and the resulting obstructed
airflow. The anatomical design
thrusts the lower jaw and pulls the
tongue and soft palate forward, which
eliminates the need for manual chin
lift and jaw thrust. It might be espe-
cially useful for high-BMI patients
with larger tongues and thicker
necks.
