On top of the internal transition RNs, we've brought on a lot of nurse
interns directly from the college. While the benefits of being able to hire
directly from this program are obvious, it's just as important to deter-
mine the folks who won't fit before you devote the time and resources
to training them. This format lets you do just that, because you get to
pre-screen the interns and see what their work ethic is like and if
they're going to gel with the team.
