PRODUCTS FOR CLEANER AIR Operio The Operio looks like a Mayo stand with a screen on the back. The screen emits ultra-clean air over the sterile instruments and surgical site. A sterile protective barrier lets you place the unit close to the OR table. The company also makes a device called the Surgicube, which is designed to give you an OR environment without an OR. Patients are treated directly under an outlet that expels ultraclean, laminar flow. Made in Sweden by Toul Meditech, Surgicube will be dis- tributed in the u.S. by Aseptic Air Control. This compact unit, which stands 2.4 meters high and is available in various widths, can be placed in any clean and draft-free room. The company also offers an instrument table (SteriStay) that directs a flow of air over the surgical site and instrument table.
